Cutting Edge Project to Transform the Sunnyvale SMaRT Station

Brea, CA (February 16, 2023) JRMA, a leading architectural, engineering, and planning firm specializing in the design of solid waste facilities including transfer stations, materials recovery facilities (MRFs), and anaerobic digestion/biogas plants (AD), is pleased to announce they are assisting the City of Sunnyvale with its municipal solid waste and curbside recyclables recovery system upgrade (NextGen) project. This cutting-edge project will transform the Sunnyvale SMaRT Station into a high-diversion MRF with substantially enhanced capabilities to recover organics, fibers, and process source-separated recyclables.

JRMA’s role will be to assist the City with procurement services for the new processing equipment. This will entail support in developing procurement documents and evaluating proposals received from equipment manufacturers.
