Industry Veteran Hired to Lead Solid Waste Planning Efforts
Portland, OR (December 5, 2022) JRMA, a leading architectural, engineering, and planning firm specializing in the design of solid waste facilities including transfer stations, materials recovery facilities (MRFs), and anaerobic digestion/biogas plants (AD), is pleased to announce the hiring of Will Elder to lead its solid waste and recycling planning efforts. Mr. Elder will be based in our Portland office and support a diverse array of planning projects including master planning, feasibility studies, and procurement and advisory services.
Mr. Elder has 16 years of solid waste experience recently serving as a Principal Solid Waste Operations Planner for Metro in Portland, Oregon. Metro is a regional agency whose responsibilities include solid waste planning for 1.5 million people in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Will delivered project management and technical expertise over a 13-year period at Metro, including recently managing the design of the commercial food waste processing system proposed for the Metro Central Transfer Station.
