SUVSWD Awards Contract to JRMA
Brea, CA (September 3, 2019) JRMA (J. R. Miller & Associates, Inc.) announced today that it was awarded a contract by South Utah Valley Solid Waste District (SUVSWD) to design a new Environmental Recovery Facility. SUVSWD’s goals and key project requirements are to construct and operate a new ERF sized for a minimum of 25-year life expectancy capable of processing 900 TPD with 1,900 TPD peak material volumes and accommodate a large number of self-haul customers. The New Environmental Recovery Facility project is the first of its kind in the South Utah Valley, and is expected to accommodate the everchanging waste stream and need to segregate more materials for recycling while keeping up with the growing population and customer base in the communities. The existing transfer station has been in operation since 1990 and is located in Springville. The ERF will be located at 3500 N. Main Street in Spanish Fork, Utah and serve the communities of Provo, Spanish Fork, Springville, Mapleton, Salem, Goshen and Woodland Hills.
JRMA will provide architectural and engineering design services, programming and project management for the new Environmental Recovery Facility, related support facilities and site improvements. This project will demonstrate the District’s long-term commitment to delivering convenient, safe and high-quality services in an economical and environmentally sustainable manner.
