SUVSWD New Environmental Recovery Facility
Spanish Fork, UTJRMA recently completed the conceptual design and detailed basis of design report for a new 80,000 SF Environmental Recovery Facility (ERF) for the South Utah Valley Solid Waste District (SUVSWD). SUVSWD’s goals and key project requirements are to construct and operate a new ERF sized for a minimum of 25-year life expectancy capable of processing 900 tons per day (TPD) with 1,700 TPD peak daily material volumes. The ERF project is the first of its kind in the South Utah Valley, and is expected to accommodate the everchanging waste stream and need to segregate more materials for recycling while keeping up with the growing population and customer base in the local communities. The existing transfer station located in Springville, UT has been in operation since 1990. The ERF will be located at 3500 N. Main Street in Spanish Fork, UT and serve the communities of Provo, Spanish Fork, Springville, Mapleton, Salem, Goshen and Woodland Hills.
JRMA provided architectural and engineering design services, and programming and project management for the new ERF and related support facilities and site improvements.
