Aerolease Group Hangar 4 VNY
Van Nuys, CAThis hangar completes the Aerolease Group Facility originally built in 2009. For this project, JRMA designed a new hangar south of the existing hangar complex to complete the c-shaped configuration of the master plan. The new hangar picks up on the latest aviation technological and design innovations and provides room for up to three G650 aircraft under a single 240 foot wide clear-span roof.
The new hangar includes ramp improvements, office space, shops, an executive terminal, and dedicated vehicle parking. The design has been enhanced from the original project to include abundant polycarbonate clerestory windows, integral metal canopies, and a new color and material palette of varied architectural metal wall panels. The interior office, support, and shop areas also feature considerable natural light and other sustainable features to save energy, reduce costs, and adhere to California Green Building Standards.
