Our solid waste practice continues to evolve to address changing laws and regulations, with an expanded focus on the management of organic waste. JRMA has industry-leading expertise in the planning and design of over 30 organics processing facilities, organics-only transfer facilities, pre-processing systems, aerated static pile composting systems, and alternative technologies. We are the proud designers of anaerobic digestion (AD) projects that transform organics into renewable energy and/or solids for composting, including facilities in the United States and internationally.
JRMA staff have also worked with or evaluated every type of food waste pre-processing system for a wide range of organic waste streams. Our work also includes the integration of the processing systems into new or retrofitted operations. With this experience, we can explain in detail the operating characteristics and effectiveness of specific systems for various waste stream compositions.
Many of our projects have also had a feasibility component in which we assisted our public and private sector clients with assessing the feasibility and appropriateness of various technologies to process and convert organic waste to compost, renewable gas, etc. This feasibility work is critical to helping our clients make the right long-term decisions to meet their organics processing infrastructure needs.
This background, along with knowledge and invaluable insight from nearly forty-plus years of design, construction, operating and maintenance experience, is unmatched in the solid waste industry. Our staff is present at facilities every day in an operating environment.
